People tell me that I can be a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. 

I've had a chequered journey as either a disrupter/ an inspiration  - take your pick - and have learnt much through reflection. I founded Diary of a Disrupter with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind.

Hello I'm Heather, a nurse that invents things with local people. I'm independent and have founded two companies:  Brightness Management, a nursing consultancy and more recently, a social enterprise called BreathChamps CIC, which helps children, families and communities to learn about breathing in fun ways.

I like to work in equal partnership with people and communities. I see people as having the solution to many health issues rather than them just having problems.

I don't have 'patients' I have partners - my aim is to help them uncover the hidden wisdom that lies in every community. I work by harnessing the strengths of the community rather than fixing people and meeting needs.

My mission in life is to help create a more equal society.

I like to use creativity in my work, so I wrote stories, poems and make videos. I see visions of a better future and I write about that a lot.
